Addo Elephant National Park
Addo Elephant National Park, established in 1931 to save 11 Elephants on the brink of extinction. The Park is now home to more than 400 Elephants, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino, a range of Antelope species and the rare flightless dung Beetle. Addo Elephant National Park is a perfect destination for the adventurous outdoor and nature lover.
Addo Elephant Park, a sanctuary for the wide range of South Africa's Wildlife, is located in the thick bushveld of the Sundays River, in the Eastern Cape. The park now known as the Addo Elephant National Park, has grown to over 164 000 hectares and is well on the way to becoming much larger still - about 400 000 hectares. The elephant herd now numbers over 400, a tribute to the long-term efforts of conservation.
Addo Raptor and Reptile Centre
The Addo Raptor and Reptile Centre is one of only a few facilities to conduct educational programs with permanently injured (nonreleasable) birds of prey. With approximately twenty birds of over a dozen species, the Addo Raptor Centre offers visitors an up close view of vultures, falcons, owls, hawks, and eagles. The Addo Raptor and Reptile Centre gives daily live shows and guided tours allowing you to come face to face with the venomous African Cape Cobra and numerous other deadly African snakes.

Schotia Safaris
Schotia Safaris is the oldest private game viewing reserve in the Eastern Cape, bordering the eastern side of Addo Elephant National Park.
This malaria free reserve is probably the most densely stocked reserve in Africa, and with over 40 mammal species and approximately 2000 animals, can offer consistently good game viewing throughout the year. Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free roaming lions and we can almost guarantee sightings of these magnificent animals on every Tooth & Claw game drive. Dinner is usually a mix of safari cuisine and traditional South African cooking; the exact menu depends on what is available on the day.
